"A great service. Very good communication at all times. I felt great confidence in your advice. Client care was excellent"

All employers have a legal obligation to protect the health and safety of their workforce.  Regulation 3, of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, requires, among other things, that all employers assess the risks to the health and safety of their employees while they are at work.

If your job involves any of the following and is causing you pain you may be entitled to claim compensation.

  • Lifting heavy or bulky loads
  • Carrying loads awkwardly, possibly one handed
  • Repetitive tasks, packing of products
  • Long distance driving or driving over rough ground, particularly if the seat is not, or cannot be properly adjusted
  • Stooping, bending or crouching, including work at PCs (poor posture)
  • Pushing, pulling or dragging heavy loads
  • Working beyond normal abilities and limits
  • Working when physically tired
  • Stretching, twisting and reaching
  • Prolonged periods in one position

Your back injury may have occurred due a single incident or over a period of time, possibly years. If you have been consistently lifting items that are too heavy or large you may not have one incidence you can blame your back problem on but if your job is the cause of your issue you are owed compensation for your back problem.

You may still be eligible to claim even if you are no longer working at the place that caused the back problem.
